Global Communications assists in bringing water relief to rural areas:

Earlier this year, Global Communications was approached by South African NGO.  Roundabout Water Solutions SA to assist with their project in bringing clean drinking water to rural primary schools in South Africa.

The concept is to provide the schools with a merry-go-round, called a PlayPump, which is situated over a borehole and clean tested water is then pumped up as the children play on the “merry-go-round”.  This means that there is clean water available to drink, wash hands, clean classrooms and cook meals.

Global was very keen to support this project and we are pleased to report that as a result of our assistance the Play Pump at Injabula Primary School, close to the Mozambique border, was able to be maintained and is now fully functional again.
